November is here which means the holidays are approaching! I tend to reflect most during this time, taking in all that God has blessed me with. The past few weeks have been quite the journey, experiencing life’s greatest joys and some of its greatest challenges. Despite experiencing a Lupus flare up this past month, I can’t help but be filled with so much gratitude. Even during difficult times, the positives in my life always outweigh the negative and I'm able to recognize just how fortunate I really am. God has gifted me with such special people in my life who lift me up and guide me to be my best self. To my friends at City Beautiful Church in Orlando – thank you for being such a light and lifting my spirit when I’ve needed it most. This month is a month of giving gratitude to the ones I love, showing them just how much I appreciate their constant undying support. I encourage you to do the same and hug the ones you love a little tighter!
When the holidays come around, it can be a challenge for me to find a party outfit that’s comfortable and yet stylish and festive at the same time. I’ve put together a look that I know I’ll be rocking this season that’s extremely cute and wild comfy. Lately I’ve been loving pants – especially when they’re soft and loosely fitted. My go to pants for this season are a pair I purchased from Pacsun, they’re very soft and have a stretchy waistband. These pants are super versatile and can be paired in so many different ways. To dress them up, I decided to pair them with a cropped collared long sleeve top from Belk. The top has a detailed peterpan collar on the neckline that I’m absolutely obsessed with! The collar is also leather which adds something extra to the look and goes well with my bag. My bag is a vintage Liz Claiborne. This bag is especially special to me because my mom passed it down to me! When I wear it, I can't help but feel like she's with me. The shoes I paired with this outfit really tie the entire look together and dress it up for the occasion. The shoes have detailed buckles along the ankle that give them an edgy vibe. I chose to pair hoop earrings with this look along with some silver bangles. I’ve recently began wearing hoop earrings and I can't seem to stop incorporating them into my looks! They add so much sass to any outfit and dress up the entire ensemble. This look in its entirety is super wearable and can be dressed up or down, depending on how you chose to accessorize it.
I am so excited for this month and the upcoming holiday season! In this season of my life, I am feeling more empowered than ever before – inspired and ready for the New Year and all of its brand new chapters. Let me know in the comments what your favorite go to party look is and what you’re grateful for this upcoming season!
