Sweater weather has arrived and I’ve never been more excited to wear a piece of clothing. As I look at the upcoming weather for this week, I see temperature highs of 70. Being a Floridian, you can only imagine the joy I experienced when discovering this news. Every year I wait patiently for this week when the temperature drops significantly. As I write this, I am wearing one of my favorite sweaters for the Fall season… I’m pretty excited, can’t you tell?
When purchasing sweaters, I tend to shop at stores like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I always have luck at stores like these and find one of a kind pieces. I recently purchased my new favorite sweater at Ross! It was very affordable and well made. The sweater is a beautiful deep shade of green that compliments Fall and all its seasonal colors. The detailing on the sleeves give an extra flare to the look! The sweater itself isn’t too thick – which is great for the ever-changing Florida weather; it provides just enough warmth without feeling too heavy.
Styling an outfit with sweaters can be a bit challenging for me – I want to pair them with pants but am hesitant due to potential change in weather. I have recently found my “go to sweater outfit pants.” These cargo pants are from LOFT and are everything I could possibly want in pants for Fall weather. The pants are extremely light weight cotton and offer many pockets which create a tough vibe in the outfit. I love that I can wear these pants in the Fall and not worry about becoming overly warm! The material is so comfortable and the cut of the pants fit incredibly well. I chose to pair the pants with this sweater because of how nicely the colors celebrate Fall. The shoes I paired with this look are combat boots from Target. Investing in a cute pair of boots can be expensive at times so I was thrilled to find this affordable and comfy pair; they add an edginess to the outfit and compliment the pants really well.
Now that the weather is starting to cool down, I challenge you to break out your sweaters and put together a look spotlighting them. There’s no better time than October to wear your sweaters and boots. Let me know in the comments what your favorite Fall trend has been so far this year, I would love to know!
